Expand Your Experience of Love

COURAGEOUSLY CONNECTED

Three-Part Virtual Retreat

Love takes off the masks that we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within. I use the word love here not merely in the personal sense but as a state of being, or a state of grace – not in the infantile American sense of being made happy, but in the tough and universal sense of quest and daring and growth” - James Baldwin, 'The Fire Next Time'

Love is always here. We are not separate.

We will be exploring three vital qualities that help us walk through the doorway into essential connectedness, a foundational component of engaged presence. Moving between a defended heart and an open heart expands the edges of who we think we are and our capacity to experience love.

  • With curiosity, we open and explore the truth of our hearts.

  • With compassion, we allow and embrace what arises.

  • With courage, we answer love’s call.

Do you have the courage to break free from cycles that may be holding you back, find clarity in your purpose, and be present to your state of being?

Together, we will quest, dare, and grow!

During this retreat you are invited to:

Let courage, curiosity, and compassion loosen the habitual patterns that have limited your possibilities.

Recognize the unseen weight you have been carrying.

Allow your experience to guide you through new openings.

Embrace your agency and engage your expansive, loving nature.

Join a conscious community of fellow explorers.

Our Facilitator

Diana Redmond

Experiential Learning Director

"Curiosity, compassion and courage have been three intertwined friends that continually bring deeper meaning and fulfillment. In all my various relationships, including the relationship to my inner experience and journey, these three qualities have allowed a deeper level of intimate contact. During the retreat as we collectively explore  and open to these qualities, they will bring unexpected gifts.  Courage helps us say yes to presence and make choices that serve. A curious mind brings harsh judgment to its knees and opens us to what is possible. Compassion is what makes the world a kinder, gentler place. What is so compelling about working with and cultivating these qualities is that there is no endpoint.  Our hearts, our acceptance of ourselves and others, expand in such a way that our interconnected nature is felt directly. This is a blessing."

Diana brings three decades of experience as a professional coach, Enneagram facilitator, and curriculum designer. She learned the value of including the wisdom of our hearts and bodies in our consciousness while studying and practicing Eastern scriptural texts and bringing esoteric wisdom into the Western mindset.

FAQ

RETREAT QUESTIONS

What will the virtual retreat be like?

Like our in-person and virtual offerings, we design the experience to return you to your direct felt experience. Sessions will be interactive and engaging to honor different learning styles. There will be a combination of reflective inquiry, large group content, intimate breakout room reflections, and practices to ground into our bodies and hearts. Our content-sharing platform, Podia, provides another way for participants to connect with the content and one another.

Will the retreat be recorded?

Yes. The retreat will be recorded in case you need to miss a section or would like to revisit the content in podia for one year after the retreat.

Can I do this retreat with others?

Yes. Invite a friend or colleague to join the virtual retreat with you. If you choose to be in the same space during the retreat, please have your own devices to accommodate time in different breakout rooms.

BEFORE & AFTER THE RETREAT

How do I prepare for the retreat?

Create a space in your home or office where you will have privacy, comfort, and a stable internet connection. Bring a journal, writing utensil, food, drink, and openness.

What happens at the optional follow-up session?

After the retreat finishes, we return to our daily lives. We may notice things with new eyes or find new challenges. We come together one week post-retreat to deepen, share, and integrate. We understand participants have full lives so have made this portion optional. A recording will be available.

Content Questions

Do I need to know the Deep Living Approach and EnneaCrossings™?

You do not need to have a conceptual background in the Deep Living approach or EnneaCrossings™. Our fall 2024 virtual and in-person retreats will focus on three of the five vital qualities, the mysterious consciousness of the heart, and the EnneaCrossings™portal of essential connectedness.

What is the Enneagram? Do I need to have experience with it before this retreat?

The Enneagram is a revealing map of the human condition that offers self-awareness and a more complete understanding of how different people approach life. At Deep Living Lab, we use this wisdom to explore a pathway to our individual and collective healing. Although the retreat is not focused on the Enneagram, having a foundation in it may help you understand some common terms and concepts that may be mentioned. Please don’t be shy if you have questions during a session or before the retreat.

What resources do you recommend for exploring the Enneagram?

If you are new to the Enneagram, download and read this free Enneagram Introduction packet before the retreat to have a sense of your type. You may also be interested in...

What type of belief system is reflected in this retreat?

This retreat honors all beliefs and spiritual practices. We go underneath concepts of God, love, and presence for you to directly access the truth within your essence. We believe that turning towards love starts within ourselves, continues in community practice, and radiates out in ways that are beyond measure.
